Q: Is pressure washing safe on my house?
A: Yes and no. If you have a brick or stone home yes; if you have a vinyl sided home, no. With a vinyl home soft washing is the ticket and we do both!
Q: What is the difference between soft washing and pressure washing?
A: Soft washing is done at low pressure (70-200psi) with chemicals doing a majority of the work. Pressure washing is less chemicals and much more pressure (1000-5000psi) and can use cold or hot water, both of these tools have a place in the exterior cleaning world and neither of these systems alone can do all jobs. Both units have strengths and weaknesses and we utilize both systems.
Q: How do you clean windows without a ladder?
A: We have equipment that both purifies water and agitates the glass with boar hair brushes. Water will be left on the glass but it is so pure, that when it evaporates nothing is left behind to spot. This can only be done with DI resin and filters. We also do it the old fashion way with window mops and squeegees, when it is needed.
Q: Will your house washing chemicals hurt my plants?
A: Our chemicals are designed to kill organic growth, like algae and moss. Without those properties your house or roof would have some remnants of the growth we set out to remove in the first place, it would likely return rather quickly. But that being said, we take extra precautions to insure we don’t hurt your plants or grass. It’s a big part of our daily processes, and we care greatly about your property.
Q: How do you clean my screens? And do I need that?
A: We clean screens by running them through a scrubbing machine with soap and water jets in it. It’s much faster and easier on the screens than any other way…. If your screens are dirty and we clean the glass then the rain hits the screen it will wash that dirt right on to the nice clean windows L.
Q: How do you clean a roof and will it void my warranty?
A: We clean roofs by spraying a solution on the roof that kills algae, lichen, and gloeocapsa magma. The main fungi that grow on, and destroys roofs. As far as warranty goes no it will not void your warranty. In fact, your manufacturer recommends the cleanings be done in the exact manor we perform. Not cleaning the roof WILL, bring about a faster roof failure as the fungi that grow on the roof is actually eating the material on the roof.
Q: Why is there still stuff on my roof after the roof cleaning?
A: The solution takes a couple days to deteriorate the roots of the growth and dry it up so it falls off. If we agitate it to knock it lose we will agitate the shingle granules and damage the roof. Wind and rain will clean it off in about a week. If not, we stand behind our work!! Just call us.
